✦ If you want to become a concept artist, read this.
Most people trying to get into games or film hit the same wall:
They draw a lot… but don’t know what to build, how to structure a portfolio, or what studios are actually looking for.
Our Concept Art program is built specifically to solve that.
This is not a general art program.
This is a step-by-step system that takes you from fundamentals → structured design thinking → industry-level portfolio.
✦ What you actually learn at MTM
You’ll train in:
Character design (built for production, not just aesthetics)
Environment design & worldbuilding
Creature design
Digital painting + 3D workflows
Matte painting for film & games
Real studio pipelines and communication methods
But more importantly:
You learn how to think like a concept artist - how to communicate ideas clearly so a team can actually build from your work.

✦ What makes MTM different
Most schools:
| At MTM:
|
You are not just “taking classes” - you are being trained and mentored.
✦ What results you can expect
By the end of the program, you will have:
A complete, industry-ready portfolio tailored to a specific role
Strong fundamentals (anatomy, perspective, lighting, composition)
The ability to design with clear intent and communication
Experience working in a studio-style pipeline
Resume, website, and portfolio ready to apply for jobs in the industry
✦ A real example
One of our graduates, Ben Kruck, is now working as a Concept Artist at Ubisoft Montreal.
What made the difference for him wasn’t just skill, it was:
learning how to take critique and iterate quickly
building work based on real production expectations
understanding how to communicate ideas clearly to a team
In his words, the process at MTM closely mirrors industry:
“What you did in the classroom is kind of what you're doing in the industry.”
That’s the goal. Not just improvement, but alignment with real work.
✦ Applications are openIf you’ve been thinking about taking this seriously - this is the moment. |
More later this week on our Animation and Illustration and illustration programs.
Warm regards,
- Amanda
